Maptech Offers New Charts

Maptech (Amesbury, MA) - Why navigate with last year’s charts and risk an accident or damage to your boat or yourself? Using the latest NOAA charts for marine navigation is vital. But most boaters and fishermen are unaware of how many significant chart changes are made each year by NOAA. Safer navigation on US waters is dependent on using the latest chart information. Changes include new buoy locations, new or deleted lights, channel shifts, wrecks and more.

Starting in 2004 Digital ChartKit users gain free access to Maptech's exclusive Internet updating service for newly released NOAA Chart Editions for the entire calendar year. The Internet downloading process automatically replaces older chart editions thereby keeping you up-to-date throughout the year.

Digital ChartKit 2004 retails for $249.95 per Region and is available for the entire US coastline, the Gulf, Alaska, and the Great Lakes. Current Digital ChartKit users can upgrade and purchase the 2004 edition at a 50% discount.

Digital ChartKits are available two ways. One as a stand-alone title that combines the latest official NOAA charts, navigation photos, aerial pictures, coastal topographic maps, marine facilities locator, tides and currents, Internet updating service and more for $250. Two as part of Maptech's Marine Navigator, which not only includes Digital ChartKit, but also has Contour 3D Charts and Offshore Navigator, GPS chartplotting software, for $499.95 per Region.
