LAKE LEVEL: 562.7
FULL POOL: 564.0
SURFACE TEMP: 79.6
WATER CLARITY: Good
CRAPPIE: I fished the river channel on Wednesday and had 27 keepers. Fished the channel on Thursday and had 30 keepers. All of these fish were good fish in the 1-2 lb. range. I found they would only bite bubble gum jigs. I tried other colors but they only wanted bubble gum.
BASS: The bass are starting to school up chasing shad into the shallow water.
Even though I haven't fished for the I would bet that a small Rat'l Trap should wear them out.
STRIPE: Still scattered.
BREAM: Small bream around the docks.
CATFISH: All you want to catch on trot lines or jugs or you can use crappie rib cages on or near the river channels.
The fish are just now starting to turn on for our fall season. As the weather cools fishing should just get better and better. Fall is upon us. Good fishing to all the fall!!
