Chuck Nail - First Bass of the Year!
First trip out to the private lake that I have access to. Was very windy and rainy and very cold, around 40 degrees. Fish were up near the shallow shore on the windblown side. He hit a black spinnerbait with willow blades. Weighed out around 4 lbs. Caught another about 20 yards down on same bank, that one was 3 1/2. Only fished for about an hour so I consider it a pretty good catch. Cant wait for those warm days in May when 4-6 pounders are everywhere and hungry for topwaters.
