Trout Farm Tricks

This is my first summer fishing. It all started in June when I took a group of Nursing Home residents fishing at a trout farm. (I am a therapeutic recreation assistant). I think I was "hooked" from then on.
I haven't had a good summer in "wild" places, but the folks out at the Trout Farm in South Central PA are helping me perfect my techniques. The strangest tip I learned from them was to use miniature marshmallows on a small hook without a bobber. There are a pair of weights above the hook at about 6 inches, so the marshmallowed hook floats around. It is so light that the fish literally suck them down their throats, which makes someone like me, who is still unsure of when to set the hook, catch my limit of trout farm fish in about half an hour.
