Who Says There Is No Good News

My faith in mankind has been restored. I have an eating disorder that causes my stomach valve to close.[tough to eat] After two failed surgeries I was quite down. The doctors were finally able to dilate the valve so I could get in some food. As I began to regain strength my thoughts turned to fishing.
I set up a time to go out with my longtime partner, and I arrived early to see if i could handle the launching etc. by myself. As I prepared the boat, a man who was with 2 five year olds & one 8 year old came over and said, "My I ask a favor?" I said sure, what? He asks if it would be o. k. if the kids watch me launch. I tell him I'll give the kids a lesson.
Our bass club did pathways to fishing seminars on a regular basis, so Iwas right at home with the kids. After launch, he asks why I seem so happy. I tell him about the eating and that this was a day I thought I might never see again.
He says "May I ask another favor?" and I say sure. He asks if it would be ok if all five of us held hands and said a prayer in my behalf. I have tears in my eyes right now as I write. I have never been so touched. Turns out the guy was a minister working with abused and under priviledged kids at a local shelter.
