Joke for this Week - The Locked Car - When my husband and I arrived
at an automobile dealership to pick up our car, we were told that the keys
had been accidentally locked in it. We went to the service department and
found a mechanic working feverishly to unlock the driver's side door. As
I watched from the passenger's side, I instinctively tried the door handle
and discovered it was open. "Hey," I announced to the technician,
"It's open!" "I know," answered the young man. "I
already got that side."

Tip of the Week - Don't leave fish! In a tournament Sunday, we circled
an area and I hooked and lost two good fish between 2 and 3 pounds each.
We worked on down the bank without any more keeper fish, and started to
leave. Instead, I idled back above where I had lost the two fish and circled
that area again - and caught a 4 pound, 10 ounce bass from a tree top we
had already fished three or four times. It was the only keeper we caught
that day. If feeding fish are in an area, don't leave to go looking for
them somewhere else!
======================================
Message Boards - Every visit to the Freshwater Fishing Board
- http://fishing.about.com/mpboards.htm
- during the week is eligible for a prize. Each Monday I will put every
visitor's name from one Sunday NOON to
the next in a 'hat' and draw one as the winner. Every log-in will be counted
as one visit, so the more times you visit the board, the more chances you
have to win! The winner will be notified by email and posted here. There
will be one winner per week.
This contest is, of course, an unabashed attempt to get people to use my boards! The only requirement is that posts must be related to fishing. The board is for fishing info so ask a real question, respond with an answer you know, or post information about a trip you took. They can be original posts or responses to posts. All the details and a list of past winners can be found at http://fishing.about.com/library/weekly/blboardcontest.htm
9/19/99 through 9/26/99 - Prize this week,
Two Jim Pope Granddaddy Jigs and a sack of trailers.
