This Week's Feature: -My Favorite Bass Boat -
http://fishing.about.com/library/weekly/aa980406.htm
- A 1983 Procraft was the best fishing boat I ever had - so far.
=======================================
Tip of the Week - At the Georgia BASS Chapter Federation Top Six
tournament at Walter F. George I did not catch a 16 inch keeper on Monday.
On Tuesday my partner carried me to a place where a team member had found
some keeper fish. My partner told me to use a Shadrap. I caught four keepers
weighing 9.9 pounds in the next hour - good for 28th place out of 499 fishermen.
- Tip - sometimes it pays to listen to your partner!

Fishtale This Week: A Near Death Experience
-http://fishing.about.com/library/weekly/bl980406.htm
- by Jim Pope - A scary experience in a bass boat.
======================================
Message Boards - My boards don't get much traffic - even with a contest!
Is there something you don't like about them or some other problem? Let me
know.
Every post to the Freshwater Fishing Board - http://fishing.about.com/mpboards.htm - during the week is eligible for a prize. Each Monday I will put every post from one Sunday midnight to the next in a "hat" and draw one as the winner. The winner will be notified by email and posted here. There will be one winner per week.
This contest is, of course, an unabashed attempt to get people to use my boards! The only requirement is that posts must be related to fishing. The board is for fishing info so ask a real question, respond with an answer you know, or post information about a trip you took. They can be original posts or responses to posts. I will use the "Show Post from 1 week" button to select the posts for the contest. All the details and a list of past winners can be found at http://fishing.about.com/library/weekly/blboardcontest.htm
4/5/98 through 4/12/98 - Prize - Lures
including a bag of worms, a Rattle Trap (Donated
by Berry's Sporting Goods in Griffin, GA) and a Shadrap.
======================================
Joke for this Week - One more Darwin Award - A drunk security man
asked a colleague at the Moscow bank they were guarding to stab his bullet-proof
vest to see if it protected him against the knife. It didn't and the 25 year
old guard died of a heart wound. Isn't it good to see the Russians getting
into the spirit of the awards?..........
======================================
Thought for the Week - When companies ship Styrofoam, what do they
pack it in?
======================================
Right Click Trick - Having trouble bookmarking a site you find through
The Mining Company because the URL doesn't show? This is a problem with
frames. Right click your mouse and the page url you are viewing should show.
Then you can copy it and book mark it. Sorry for the trouble.
======================================
WEBMASTERS and site owners - please use this newsletter as a reminder
to check your link from Freshwater Fishing. Let me know what you think of
my comments about your site. Keep me informed of updates and changes, especially
URL changes. I would appreciate a link from your site. Also, check out my

http://fishing.about.com/mpchat.htm. The chat room is always open.
Contact me if you would like to set up a chat schedule for your site that
you would host.
