More Georgia Bass Fishing Articles Catch and release bass fishing is the norm now for both tournaments and leisure fishing. Some fishermen will almost go crazy if they kill a bass. I have been practicing catch and release for the past 3 or 4 years. With the invention of the circle hook, which tends to hook the fish more in the outer lip than conventional hooks making for safe and easy release.
