- My favorite rod is my Falcon Cara T7 baitcast "angler of the year" edition rod with a split grip handle. It is 6'8'' and it is medium-heavy power. They usually cost $170 - $200, but worth it. Actually that is about the average price for a top of th lin rod. I have 2 Cara t7 baitcast rods and 2 Falcon LowRider spinning rods. They are also great rods and they make a baitcast edition also. The Falcon LowRider's are priced from $120 -$150. The longer rods are the higher priced ones. Give Falcon rods a chance and you will not regret it. The Falcon Cara T7 ediitions now are available with micro guides which will cost an extra $30 - $50 bucks. They come with a Mfrs. limited lifetime warranty. I bought the Cara t7 at Academy and they just replaced it at the store at no cost to me. I like my Kistler Magnesium TS crankbait custom graphite medium 7'0" baitcast rod as my second favorite rod that run me around $160. Kistler makes some of the best rods I have ever seen, but very costly
