hook mine in the middle

I like to hook my trick worm in the middle or just before the middle with no weight.Making long casts i like to let it sink to the bottom then jerk a couple times and let it fall again. I always use a swivel and leader to avoid line twist unless I am using a floating worm on top of the water. It takes a lot of patience and concentration to wait for a weightless worm to hit the bottom but it can pay off big sometimes, pitching it in the top of trees and brush is a good trick too. Let it fall slowly through tree branches ,twitchin and hoppin it around verticaly.I mostly choose black or watermellon for sinking worms and the bright orange or bubble gum on top. We have some red muddy lakes that bubblegum works well on.

Easy!

Hook it just like a normal worm or hook it your own way as long as the hook isn't sticking out of the worm cause you can hang up easy if it is not secured into the bait. Ok you can pull off many tricks or just jerk the trick worm. You can imitate shad when schooling fish are near. Jerk it slowly or fast it doesn't matter and jerk it past brush or stumps and use a bright orange worm during summer or spring and it matters how muddy the water is to decide the color of your trick worm. Also the temperature can vary your results depending on the color of your worm. use it like any type topwater lure and you're are almost guaranteed to catch big bass!
