- I love to slow roll a short arm spinnerbait during summer at night. Generally, dark colors for dark nights, light colors for light nights. 1/2 oz spinnerbait with #11 Uncle Josh Pork Rind Trailer.

Spinnerbait fishing
- My best tip for modifying them is to add a trailer. I like using the mister twister 3 or 4 inch in chartreuse, yellow, or black. Feed the spinnerbait hook through the body of the grub so that the tail and body of the grub are perfectly horizontal. Speed retrieval really varies depending on conditions. The best advice I can give you is to change it up throughout the day until you find where in the column they are and at what speed they like it. By varying it early you can quickly key in on the right speed for that given day and depth you're fishing. Here's a spinnerbait video from this past weekend where we hooked walleye and bass on the outside weed line of this particular lake. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oUek5sdQWQg
