The Bottom Line
The T-mac worm from NetBait is my go-to worm for jig head worm fishing and they catch fish on Carolina rigs, too. The scent helps attract bites and makes the fish hold on. They come in a wide variety of colors but my favorite is Bama Bug, a green pumpkin/Junebug laminate.

Guide Review - NetBait T-Mac Plastic Worms
I started using the NetBait T-Mac worm in Bama Bug color on my jig head worm rig and it helped me win first place in both bass clubs the first year I used it, and I caught big bass for the year in one club. That was a 5.88 pound largemouth.
The worms come in a wide variety of colors and have anise sent in them. They are soft but hold up under fishing use. The worm is seven inches long but I often bite them off to make a shorter worm when conditions call for it.
The baits come in packs of 20 worms and they retail for about $3.25.
