Guide Review - Sebile Magic Swimmer
I tested the Sebile Magic Swimmer 95 in Bronze Shiner at Lake Martin while practicing for a club tournament. The water at Martin is very clear and the bait looked great in the water. I was amazed at how far I could cast such a small bait. I also liked the action when I twitched it. It would dart and flash then go back to a natural swimming motion. The third cast I made a two pound spotted bass ran to it and slammed it.During the second day of the tournament I was having a tough time, with no fish at 11:00. I worked some small pockets with wood in them, fishing a varitey of baits without a hit. I started throwing the Magic Swimmer over the logs and caught a keeper largemouth. I also saw two more come up to the plug, one I hooked for a second but it came off. I think a more natural color would have worked better in the clear water.
The Sebile Magic Swimmer is a good bait to throw in the wind and it casts a long way. It looks very natural in the water just reeling it along but you can make it dart and flash with a rod tip twitch.
