The siphon is running at full flow, with the water hitting a sheet of metal

A four inch pipe will drain a lot of water. This picture shows the siphon running at maximum flow. I put a piece of sheet metal where the water hit to keep it from hitting the ground and digging a hole. That is what created the spray.

This siphon would drop my 1 acre pond about an inch an hour, increasing as the pond size got smaller as it dropped.
