The Bottom Line
Gordon Hutchinson, in his book "The Quest and The Quarry" gives the reader a feel for growing up in the south and how important family and traditions are to southerners. The book is well written and easy to read. Although more about hunting than fishing, this is an excellent book for anyone that loves the outdoors. The Quest and The Quarry was selected for an "Excellence In Craft" award from the Southeast Outdoor Press Association in 2006.

Guide Review - Book Review - The Quest and The Quarry
Reading "The Quest And The Quarry" brought back many memories of my childhood and youth, and gave me insight to how others southerners were raised, too. Gordon Hutchinson has the skill to put you there with him and make you feel part of a very special experience and life style. It makes you long for the traditions we have lost with so-called progress.
