I then pointed out that a few people from the "kook fringe" of society oppose something that the rest of society finds to be beneficial and even necessary to improving the quality of life for human beings. It became readily apparent that PETA is more interested in the welfare of rats and monkeys than babies. This heated exchange led to numerous other people in the crowd challenging PETA's position and it did not appear they gained any converts or donations.
It should be noted that these people from PETA have a first amendment right of freedom of speech which must never be infringed on, no matter how ridiculous they and their positions are.
In other words, they have the right to be stupid.
However, the rest of us also have just as important a right of free speech to point out just how stupid they are and how ridiculous their positions are. If we do not stand up to the "kook fringe" like PETA, they seem to have the ability to gain the media attention they do not deserve and then they appear to be a part of the mainstream of society.
PETA's radical and ridiculous agenda must be publicized for what it is whenever and wherever it is found to prevent them from gaining any more well-meaning but ignorant contributors or members.
While it may seem unbelievable to most normal people, PETA is actually protesting the March of Dimes and their efforts to save premature babies.
What is next for this "kook fringe" group? Saving animal life (i.e. rats) over all of the rest of us human beings on the planet? Removing humans from the planet so the animals will not be infringed upon by us evil humans?
Please stand up to this group of radical and misinformed people whenever you can. The "silent majority" can not afford to be silent any longer.
