Well, I have heard, of people taking these gar, and wrapping them up and covering them in smoldering hot coals in a campfire and baking them untill they hear a "pop" and it literally jumps out of the coals and "they say" its ready to eat. They pull it out, cut the tough skin back and pull the meat out.
I dont know for how long this takes or how true this is or any details other than what i've told here, but I have been told its possible to eat them. (starving people in the woods will eat anything at one point.)
Like I say I dont know how correct all this is but i've heard it from several people but have never been brave enough to try it ha ha. Thanks for your time.
