From Terry Smith: Bites were rather slow the day Captain Kirk, (also known as the Gar Hunter) teamed up with Terry Smith, (also known as the Gar Getter) to fish the Coosa River near Gadsden, Alabama. However, the Gar Hunter found his target, and what a hard fighting brute it was. The long nose gar’s girth measured 16” and it’s length 49.” The fish was caught on a lure that has NO HOOKS.
