Think it will rain??? Let’s talk about what I think is going to happen since this last week
was pretty much of a wash out with all this rain and wind.

The south end of the lake got pretty whipped up so it is going to need a few days of stable
weather to clean up. Also, if I am right, they’re going to have to open the locks to pull
water. When this happens, the west side of the lake should produce some good fish.
Shingle Creek should be very good this week. You can go right in the creek or fish both
sides of the entrance. The runoffs in the river will be holding a lot of fish.

There is still going to be a lot of bedding activity on Toho when this crazy weather decides
to get straight. A lot of the fish I’m catching are still tight with roe. Most of their fins are
red from fanning their beds. Fish the outside of bedding areas with plastic lizards. Work
them slow. Shiner fishing has been doing very good. Fish the outside edge of boat cuts
for best results. If you are coming to Florida in March or April and want to fish, give me a
call. I still have some openings. I think that these two months are going to be real good
fishing.

When going out in your boat, always have some tools and proper safety equipment. It is
always good to carry jumper cables and first aid equipment.

Until next week,
