        Rainy Lake Fishing Report

Another great opener on Rainy Lake.  Crappie fishing in Black Bay was good and continues to get better each day with the warm temperatures.  Try the shallow rock bars, fish cribs, and near the mouth of the Rat Root river for crappies.

Walleye, smallmouth bass, and northern pike action was also good this weekend.  The best action was in the many warm bays and on the points leading into the bays.  Some walleye success jigging at Kettle Falls (and an occasional big bass or pike).

    Good Luck and Good Fishing
