US OPEN TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS 2000
The most difficult fishing weather conditions any angler can face greeted competitors far away as Ohio , and Canada. Crystal clear water combined with bright clear skies and no wind.
Challenged most of the best matchfisherman ( bank ) Angers in North America.
Fish moved to the cover of the far bank , and the canals famed huge carp were scared by the pressure of some many anglers trying to tempt them to feed.
Only one was caught, a 9 pounder by Bernice Bradley.
Anglers had to cast tiny floats 35 yards in some cases to catch fish close to the far bank..
The top 4 person Team was Team mickthill.com who won by a comfortable margin scoring just 9 points on Saturday & just 6 on Sunday.
Winning their 3rd National title in a row!

It was literally head to head as it was USA top scorer from the 1st 2 heats Mick Thill Vs Jeff Turner on Windsor Canada.
Jeff did very well considering he has never seen the canal before.
Hopefully we can find a venue that makes it possible for the CanadianTeam to take part next year.
Both heats were won by Team USA .
Making it a clear sweep of all 4 heats.
