Rattletrap2's Big Bass
Rattletrap3 (BrianS) sent me this picture and note while we were talking in chat. He says "I got this nice Largemouth on Monday august 5th while entertaining a friend from Houston, Texas up here on Upper Buckhorn Lake in the Kawartha Lakes District near Peterborough, Ontario. We were out fishing the huge weed flats in about 6 to 8 feet of water. We would drift along with the
trolling motor and vertical jig the pockets. "dunking". I had a light Walleye set-up spinning rod/reel and 6 pound test mono line. I was using a 3/8 ounce jig head with a white Berkley "Jig worm.She hit light and came straight up out of the hole. Good thing since I didn't have the equipment to turn her around if she decided to head for cover in the dense weed bed! After the pictures were taken....back she went! This was caught around 11:30 am. We never did get the Walleye we were after, but this fish was a nice consolation prize!"
