First Muskie
My first muskie hit a tube jig at the Wisconsin River dam in Rhinelander,WI. You can see the bouy line we were against when the fish hit. At one point it got its head over the cable but I was still able to land it.

As soon as I landed the muskie and took one picture it started raining. I dropped the fish in the live well, put on my rain suit and got to the bank since it was lightning. I took the fish out, weighed it and measured it and let it go. It weighed 8.25 pounds.

I measured the fish against my spinnerbait rod and let it go, then measured the rod to check length. The fish was right at 30 inches long.

Catching this muskie was a thrill! The light outfit made its fight much better.
