World Record Bass

World Record Bass Information

About two miles outside of Jacksonville, GA on Highway 117 between Jacksonville and Lumber City is a state historic marker about the world record bass. It is about two miles from Montgomery Lake on the Ocmulgee River where the record bass was caught.

Nearby Lumber City, GA has signs like this one announcing the world record largemouth bass tournament. this is held each spring on the river.
