"King's Rein of Terror Continues!"
SST Series Press Release

Despite a small turnout, for the third time in as many tournaments D&M Rods
team member Lonnie King grabbed another first place finish at last weekends
event at Hyde Park in Niagara Falls, New York. With a solid 60 lb bag of
fish, King outdistanced second place finisher Allen Leeson of Niagara
Fishing Tours Agency Team by almost 40 lbs.

'It's once again a demonstration of just how productive these local New
York waters are!' proclaimed King as he picked up his first place Gold
medal and prize package including a selection of Thill Gold Medal Floats,
Spiderline fusion line and the ever so valuable points he'll need to carry
him towards the Invitational championship.

King spent most of his day working shallow nearshore waters with a 20-foot
telescopic pole fitted with 12 lb test Spiderline monofilament and a Thill
Shy Bite float. 'I took most of my fish on the pole, really early in the
morning' King stated ' but as the fish continued to roil up the mud in
front of me, I had to eventually move my presentation to the bottom and use
a more conventional Waggler style float (A 7 inch Thill T.G. bodied waggler
to be exact)

A surprising number of turtles were also landed, much to the dismay of the
anglers. Most upset was newcomer Tony Navarroli had one big snapper tear a
whole in the side of his keepnet, releasing an 8lb carp that would have
given him the Spiderline Big Fish Honors.

Once again the ever present weekend shower hit anglers hard during the
final weekend - just adding to the incentive to win the beautiful Shadowear
Breathable Rain suit that's up for grads at this years 2 Day final
Invitational Event.

There is still one event left in this years New York series, and the word
is spreading. There is still ample opportunity for anglers to make it the
Invitational by placing well in the Next event, which will be held on the
Erie Canal on August 19.
