    Lake Weiss Lake Fishing Report
    Lake Weiss Guide Service -
    CLP-POPE@tds.net (Cheryl Pope)
    7/7/2000

  • DATE: 7-7-00
    LAKE LEVEL: 562.8
    SURFACE TEMP. 89.7*F
    WATER CLARITY: Good

    CRAPPIE: Nothing to report

BASS: What Bass are being taken are being caught on Large Deep Diving
Crank baits on river channel edges. Chartreuse/Blue,  Chartreuse/Green.

    BREAM: VERY slow.

STRIPE: Stripe have spread out bad. Stripe can still be taken on river
channel edges using live bait. The smaller the shad seems to work
best.  They don't seem to be structure related at this time. They seem to
be just wandering wherever their little hearts take them.

CATFISH: Catfishing still strong at night.  Cut bait seems to working
    well.

WHITE BASS: At this time I have not seem myself any white bass jumps but
they are way overdue.  Soon as I find them I will let you know where I see
    them.

If I can help in anyway I am glad to do so.  You will find that
Centre, Alabama is a pretty friendly place.  So,  before you throw your rod &
reel in the lake or talk about my relatives (LOL) give me a holler.  I
would be glad to help you in any way I can whether you need a guide or
not. Be glad to recommend lodging, whether you need a room or a house. We
have it all around Weiss Lake.
