Thunder and Lightning
Terry C. Yorker
Dateline: 6/21/99
My partner Tom Lavery and I were fishing a private lake in West Haven CT - with permission. An older gentleman came out onto his dock and yelled somthing. I asked Tom what he said. Wants to know "How's the fishing."
I yell "Good" and return to fishing. Later, on the same dock is the old man and a cop-waving to us. I motor over and explain who gave us permission to fish to the annoyed officer. He says "OK, but why didn't we tell the old guy?"
At this point I tell the cop "Tom is legally blind, and I'm hearing impaired ,and that our friends call us Thunder & Lightning cause Tom hears it and I see it. The cop says "Have a nice day" as he trys not to fall in the lake from laughter.
