This reader did not send me his name, but he says one of my articles helped him catch a big bass, so I want to believe it!

    Hey, how are you doing?

Well, I have this small pond near my house no bigger than half of a football field. I have caught three 10-12 inch bream there in the early October days, but now I know there are bass in the pond I just don't know how to catch them.

There are 15-20 inch bass in there, weight range from 2 to 8 pounds, and I thought I would have to wait untill summer to go fishing again, but after I read you article, I decided to go back to the pond and try working my purple Texas-style rig worm up and down and side to side and occasionally reeling just a little bit then letting it sit for the longest time while I worked it some more.

Well, about an hour after I started fishing I had a strike. This was not a normal strike, the dag-um fish just about took half of my line off of my reel!! After having the most fun time in my life reeling that badboy in, it turned out he was 9 and 1/2 pounds!!!! I let him go and kept the memory. I will never forget that day thanks to you!!!

    Sincerely -BR98
