Terry sent me the following info about his collection:
I don't know if you are a lure collector but I thought you might enjoy a picture of my favorite - the Worth Flutter Fin - the white oval lure is a hand carved prototype from Delbert Patterson - the inventor - the card attests to that fact and is signed by Robert Worth of Worth Llures the manufacturer-its the ONLY one known.
Check Lure Lore - all the rest of my collection is in the back issues under Flutter Fin. I've been collecting about [6] years.

If you have read the Flutter Fin info on Lure Lore I'll tell you the REST OF THE STORY.
There was a picture of a wood prototype Flutter Fin and an article about it on the internet and my friend froggermouse sent it to me. The story was written by Bob Slade the #1 man of collecting from Wisconsin. I was envious, and figured there would be no chance to own that lure.
Misfortune hit Bob[health] and he decided to give up collecting and sell his collection. Isent him an e-mail asking about the Flutter Fin. Bob explained that the hand carved model was from Delbert Patterson the inventor. Delbert's company Nova Lures was purchased by Worth Lures to obtain the rights to produce the Flutter Fin.in the pic.
The spinners were Nova Lures and the white oval lure & the yel. and blk one next to it were hand carved by Delbert. Bob Slade wanted to find a home for these pieces of history, and said he did not want them to be used for financial gain. I told Bob I had no intention of resale and also told him when it was time for me [many years] to let go of the lures I would attempt to find another caretaker.
A deal was worked out and thats how I came to have the lures. The seven lures under the prototypes in the case[in various stages of undress] as Bob so eloquently pointed out, are also wood originals. The card in the box is an authenticity statement from Bob Worth of Worth Lures.
