Joke for this Week - A true story. If she had killed herself, shed
be a shoe-in for the Darwin Award (might be a problem in the gene pool).
Last summer, down on Lake Isabella, located in the high desert an hour
east of Bakersfield, a blonde, new to boating was having a problem. No
matter how hard she tried, she just couldnt get her brand new 22-ft Bayliner
to perform. It wouldnt get on a plane at all, and it was very sluggish
in almost every maneuver, no matter how much power she applied. After about
an hour of trying to make it go, she putted over to a nearby marina. Maybe
they could tell her what was wrong. A thorough topside check revealed everything
was in perfect working order. The engine ran fine, the outdrive went up
and down, and the prop was the correct size and pitch. So, one of the marina
guys jumped in the water to check underneath the boat. He came up choking
on water, he was laughing so hard. Under the boat, still strapped securely
in place, was the trailer.
Of course, it would take some really DUMB mechanics to miss the trailer
straps holding it on!!!!

prize the week of 12/27 - 1/3, A Billy Finn Toga Leader - Check out their

Tip of the Week - Use Brasso or silver polish to bring back that
shine to tarnished spoons and other metal plugs. Polish and a little elbow
grease will make them look like new. And most of us have soem "down"
days this time of year due to the weather. Polish your spoons and dream
about fishing!
======================================
Message Boards - Every visit to the Freshwater Fishing Board
- http://fishing.about.com/mpboards.htm
- during the week is eligible for a prize. Each Monday I will put every
visitor's name from one Sunday NOON to
the next in a 'hat' and draw one as the winner. Every log-in will be counted
as one visit, so the more times you visit the board, the more chances you
have to win! The winner will be notified by email and posted here. There
will be one winner per week.
This contest is, of course, an unabashed attempt to get people to use my boards! The only requirement is that posts must be related to fishing. The board is for fishing info so ask a real question, respond with an answer you know, or post information about a trip you took. They can be original posts or responses to posts. All the details and a list of past winners can be found at http://fishing.about.com/library/weekly/blboardcontest.htm
12/27/99 through 1/3/00 - Prize this week,
