Joke for this Week - Little Known Chocolate Tidbits - just in time
for the holidays - Chocolate covered raisins, cherries, orange slices and
strawberries all count as fruit, so eat as many as you want. - Problem:
How to get 2 pounds of chocolate home from the store in hot car. Solution:
Eat it in the parking lot. - Diet tip: Eat a chocolate bar before each
meal. It'll take the edge off your appetite and you'll eat less. - A nice
box of chocolates provide your total daily intake of calories in one place.
Isn't that handy? - If calories are an issue, store your chocolate on top
of the fridge. Calories are afraid of heights and they will jump out of
the chocolate to protect themselves. - Equal amounts of dark chocolate
and white chocolate is a balanced diet. - The preservatives in chocolate
make you look younger.

Trivia Contest - http://fishing.about.com/library/weekly/blcontest.htm
- Answer a trivia question, be entered into a drawing for a prize -
prize the week of 12/21 - 12/27, Prize - A crankbait - All correct answers
received during the week, before noon on Sunday, will be placed in a drawing
for the prize
=====================================
Tip of the Week - Use a split ring, snap or loop knot on jigging
spoons. Allowing them to swing freely at the end of the line gives them
better action, especially when using heavy line.
======================================
Message Boards - Every visit to the Freshwater Fishing Board
- http://fishing.about.com/mpboards.htm
- during the week is eligible for a prize. Each Monday I will put every
visitor's name from one Sunday NOON to
the next in a 'hat' and draw one as the winner. Every log-in will be counted
as one visit, so the more times you visit the board, the more chances you
have to win! The winner will be notified by email and posted here. There
will be one winner per week.
This contest is, of course, an unabashed attempt to get people to use my boards! The only requirement is that posts must be related to fishing. The board is for fishing info so ask a real question, respond with an answer you know, or post information about a trip you took. They can be original posts or responses to posts. All the details and a list of past winners can be found at http://fishing.about.com/library/weekly/blboardcontest.htm
12/20/99 through 12/27/99 - Prize this week,
A crankbait

Thought for the Week - It takes fewer muscles to smile than to frown
- and fewer still to ignore someone completely.
=======================================
ELEVEN Fishing The Net SITES - http://fishing.about.com/msubfishnet.htm
- Each week I feature five to ten sites I have found that week. I get them
from newsgroups, email and surfing the net. Check these sites out - they
change each week and are moved to my library of links at the end of each
week. If you have your own site or a favorite that you would like me to
list, email me!

Bonus Joke - From Eric -
I don't know if you've used this one in the newsletter before, but I thought it was a good one, let me know what you think:
Little Johnny, burst into the house, crying his eyes out. His Mama asked him what the problem was. "Pop and I were fishing, and he hooked a giant fish. Really big. Then, while reeling it in, the line busted and the fish got away."
"Now come on, Johnny,"" his mother said, "a big boy like you shouldn't be crying about an accident like that. You should have laughed."
"That's what I did, Mama."
