Joke for this Week - MAJOR AIR DISASTER IN FLORIDA Florida's worst
air disaster occurred today when a small two-seater Cessna 152 plane, piloted
by two Florida Gator students, crashed into a cemetery early this afternoon
on the outskirts of College Station. Gator search and rescue workers have
recovered 300 bodies so far and expect the number to climb as digging continues
into the evening. The pilot and co-pilot survived and are helping in the
recovery efforts.

Tip of the Week - Fish a jig and pig for bigger fish. At a Lake
Martin, AL tournament I won the big fish pot with a 4-7 largemouth that
hit a Jim Pope flipping jig tipped with a Yamamoto Ika. Second biggest
fish in the tournament was a 3-6 spot that hit a Stanley jig and pig, caught
by William Scott, and he also had a 3-5 spot the next day for big fish
that day. William won the tournament with almost 4 pounds more than the
second place fisherman, by fishing the jig and pig.

Message Boards - Every visit to the Freshwater Fishing Board
- http://fishing.about.com/mpboards.htm
- during the week is eligible for a prize. Each Monday I will put every
visitor's name from one Sunday NOON to
the next in a 'hat' and draw one as the winner. Every log-in will be counted
as one visit, so the more times you visit the board, the more chances you
have to win! The winner will be notified by email and posted here. There
will be one winner per week.
This contest is, of course, an unabashed attempt to get people to use my boards! The only requirement is that posts must be related to fishing. The board is for fishing info so ask a real question, respond with an answer you know, or post information about a trip you took. They can be original posts or responses to posts. All the details and a list of past winners can be found at http://fishing.about.com/library/weekly/blboardcontest.htm
10/18/99 through 10/24/99 - Prize this week,
Two Jim Pope Jigs and a bag of curly tail trailers
