Joke for this Week - Travel Agent Woes - I got a call from a woman
who wanted to go to Capetown. I started to explain the length of the flight
and the passport information when she interrupted me with "I'm not
trying to make you look stupid, but Capetown is in Massachusetts. "Without
trying to make her look like the stupid one, I calmly explained, "Cape
Cod is in Massachusetts, Capetown is in Africa." Her response ...click.

Tip of the Week - Sharpen your hooks and always be ready to set
the hook. I was using an old plug with dull hooks in my pond Tuesday afternoon,
and on the FIRST cast "Oscar" grabbed it. I was not ready and
did not get a good hook set and lost the bass. (Oscar is the name Linda
gave the 6 1/2 pound bass in our pond - I caught it once and have hooked
and lost it twice in the last month!)
======================================
Message Boards - You will have to re-register for the new boards.
If you sign up to join, you should be registered for the new boards. If
you have problems, let me know.
Every visit to the Freshwater Fishing Board - http://fishing.about.com/mpboards.htm - during the week is eligible for a prize. Each Monday I will put every visitor's name from one Sunday NOON to the next in a 'hat' and draw one as the winner. Every log-in will be counted as one visit, so the more times you visit the board, the more chances you have to win! The winner will be notified by email and posted here. There will be one winner per week.
This contest is, of course, an unabashed attempt to get people to use my boards! The only requirement is that posts must be related to fishing. The board is for fishing info so ask a real question, respond with an answer you know, or post information about a trip you took. They can be original posts or responses to posts. All the details and a list of past winners can be found at http://fishing.about.com/library/weekly/blboardcontest.htm
8/30/99 through 9/6/99 - Prize this week,
A bag of Zoom lizards

Thought for the Week - Only in America...do we leave cars worth
thousands of dollars in the driveway and leave useless junk in the garage...
=======================================
Fishing The Net - http://fishing.about.com/msubfishnet.htm
- Each week I feature five to ten sites I have found that week. I get them
from newsgroups, email and surfing the net. Check these sites out - they
change each week and are moved to my library of links at the end of each
week. If you have your own site or a favorite that you would like me to
list, email me!
======================================
Bonus Joke - More Woes - A man called, furious about a Florida package
we did. I asked what was wrong with the vacation in Orlando. He said he
was expecting an ocean-view room. I tried to explain that is not possible,
since Orlando is in the middle of the state. He replied, "Don't lie
to me. I looked on the map and Florida is a very thin state."
