This Week's Feature: -National Fishing Week- http://fishing.about.com/library/weekly/aa060198.htm - National Fishing Week is a celebration of our sport - and lots of activities are planned around it.
=======================================
Tip of the Week - I got my 1998 World Record Game Fishes book from the International Game Fish Association today. This book not only includes all tackle records for fresh and salt water, it also includes line class and flyrod records. Want to know what a fish looks like? A catalog of game fish shows a drawing and gives info on each. The book alone is worth the $25 annual membership fee. Although I can not find a net site for them, you can get more info and join by calling 1-954-941-3474.
======================================
Fishtale This Week: -June Walleye at Lake of the Woods - http://fishing.about.com/library/weekly/bl980601.htm - Phil Rolfe tells how to catch summer walleye at his favorite lake.
======================================
Message Boards - Every post to the Freshwater Fishing Board - http://fishing.about.com/mpboards.htm - during the week is eligible for a prize. Each Monday I will put every post from one Sunday midnight to the next in a "hat" and draw one as the winner. The winner will be notified by email and posted here. There will be one winner per week.

This contest is, of course, an unabashed attempt to get people to use my boards! The only requirement is that posts must be related to fishing. The board is for fishing info so ask a real question, respond with an answer you know, or post information about a trip you took. They can be original posts or responses to posts. I will use the "Show Post from 1 week" button to select the posts for the contest. All the details and a list of past winners can be found at http://fishing.about.com/library/weekly/blboardcontest.htm

6/1/98 through 6/8/98 - Prize - A plug and a pack of worms
======================================
Joke for this Week - During a neighborhood party, John got into an argument with his neighbor, Jay, about presidential politics. Finally, Jay asked John why he was such a dedicated Republican.

John told him that his father and grandfather were Republicans before him and that he was carrying on the family tradition.

"That's it?" Jay said, exasperated. "What if your father and grandfather had been horse thieves?"

"Well," I replied, "I suppose then I'd be a Democrat like you."
======================================
Thought for the Week - Why do psychics have to ask you for your name?
======================================
Right Click Trick - Having trouble bookmarking a site you find through The Mining Company because the URL doesn't show? This is a problem with frames. Right click your mouse and the page url you are viewing should show. Then you can copy it and book mark it. Sorry for the trouble.
======================================
WEBMASTERS and site owners - please use this newsletter as a reminder to check your link from Freshwater Fishing. Let me know what you think of my comments about your site. Keep me informed of updates and changes, especially URL changes. I would appreciate a link from your site. Also, check out my chat room at http://fishing.about.com/mpchat.htm. The chat room is always open. Contact me if you would like to set up a chat schedule for your site that you would host.
======================================
