I put garbage in with my check when I mail it in. Coffee grinds, banana peels...I write, Could you throw this away for me? Thank You.

Forum Discussion - ShimanioJ writes:  Take a shad and lay it on it's side - with the mouth to the right and the tail to the left. Put your knife point in behind the gills just above the fins, and cut straight through the shad. Insert your index finger into the slice and towards the mouth end of the fish. You will feel a marble sized piece of semi-hard flesh. Take that marble shaped piece, put it on the hook, and proceed with your catfishing.

Tip of the Week - Lakes often are at a low level in the fall as they are drawn down for winter rains. It is a great time to go scouting.  Take along a notepad and camera.  You can see much of the structure you will be fishing later when the water comes back up.  It can also be a fantastic time to catch fish, so take along your pole, too!
