Next year, about 600 students at Northern Lebanon High School will spend nine phys-ed periods studying how to tie flies and what rods and lines are best for which kinds of fish. They'll also go fishing at least one day.

PORT BARRE - Brent Pudhomme of Prudhomme's Bait Stand near Port Barre reported that good catfishing continues in the Atchafalaya River for blue catfish and gaspergous. Grass shrimp are the best baits at this time. Fish near sandbars in 15 feet of water.
