After day one of the 2009 Bassmasters Classic Boyd Duckett led the field with the only 20 pound plus catch. He must have met the five factors he discussed in this article to be leading at this point. He had two tough days - at that level, anyway - catching "only" 13 pounds each of the second and third days and did not win. It looks like #4, the one thing the angler really can not control, didn't come through for him.
