For the first eight years of this century I tried to go fishing every single day in a calendar year. Think about that - going fishing every day, no matter what the weather, no matter how sick, no matter where you travel. My first seven tries failed. Something - a trip out of the US, an operation on my hand, something, made me miss days. But 2009 was different!
