Fishing and Camping Checklist - Don't Leave Anything Behind

By , About.com Guide   September 5, 2011

Follow me on:

Making a list and checking it twice applies to fishing and not just Christmas for me. Over the years I have developed a list of things to make sure I always have everything I want or need on a trip. Maybe I go overboard, but I never have to worry about needing something I don't have when I use my checklist. Do you use one? Have I left anything off? Post your additions and comments in the comments section.

Used to make lists. Then, I packed everything taken along with me in specific containers, tackle, clothing etc. everything in aplace that I can grab, load and go. Now if I can only remember where I put that list that tells me where everything is.

I use ists ffor overnight fishing trips. Many of these trips are packing into the high country. We never have enough room for everything but we make do. The only thing I feel was not listed was a hand sanitizer, other than that very god article

I find a list to be just as important when leaving for the return home as it allows me to make sure I haven’t left anything behind!

I usually don’t have a problem since I just bring everything in sight home with me. I camp in a van and don’t unload much since I am just cooking and sleeping there, I am out in the boat the rest of the time. And all my fishing stuff stays in my boat. Good point tho!
