Boyd Duckett says there are key elements of bass tournament fishing and relates how each has affected him in specific tournaments. He also knows how some of them affect other professional bass fishermen. If you are a tournament fisherman or want to be one, his thoughts will help you. In fact, they will help you in any kind of competition.

Tournament fishing is a whole different picture compared to fishing for fun. This article is “right on” about preparation and without it don’t look for a successful outing. Thanks Ron!
I would like to comment on your statement; “Tournament fishing is a whole different picture compared to fishing for fun.” There is one thing you have forgotten. I myself fish the tournament circuit. Yes, it is a job. But, it is fun, and you have to learn to have fun first and foremost before you can enjoy the stress of tournament fishing. Tournament fishing is a mental and physical game of competiton mainly against you and the fish, not so much the other anglers. So, what I am trying to say is; “You can’t take the fun out of anything you do in life, other wish it no longer a challenge in life.” Growing up in life I was taught a challenge is not only using your mind and body, but, it is suppose to be fun at the same time.
