There are five species of salmon found in Alaska waters. These Pacific salmon all run up freshwater rivers and streams to spawn then they die. They are fun to catch and great eating. I was lucky enough to catch three of the five species on my trip to Alaska this past August. We had some of the Coho filets shipped home and they are fantastic when grilled.

Catching all 5 species in one day must have a name, like a hat trick in hockey but better.
I think that would be just about impossible in fresh water since they run at different times. You could do that in a combo of salt and freshwater, maybe.
