Atlantic Sturgeon Fact Sheet

Atlantic Sturgeon are found on the east coast of the US and a subspecies, the Gulf Sturgeon, is found on the Gulf Coast of the US. Those are just two of the 26 species of sturgeon worldwide. They grow big and are responsible for injuring some boaters each year when they jump and are hit by the boater. They get big - up to 800 pounds and 15 feet long.
