My favorite inland spots have become flooded! If I wanted to go I would have to launch on 80/94 and motor down the road to get to a spot. Has anyone out there got information on southern Lake Michigan, especially shoreline. Haven’t heard much worth listening to and our local newspaper has been taken over by antis and there is no longer any useful information coming from their once a week article (no longer in paper).

Capt. Jim is probably a pretty good Charter Capt. but his constant shilling for his prefererd tackle companies puts his credibility in doubt in my mind. This is not the only site he puts his promotion of Badger Tackle above how to catch fish. Be warned!

He does push Badger Tackle a lot. And I am sure he sends his reports to multiple sites. If I were a guide I would want mine on as many sites as possible. I am not sure if he has an interest in Badger Tackle or not but he might just really like their products. I often make reccomendations of tackle that works well for me.

It’s no different than any other sponsored professional guide. They’re all hawking their wares. If he’s a half-way decent guide, then it shouldn’t matter as long as you are catching fish.

Southern end of the lake has some great fishing. September is better than October, but since he asked the question, I’ll answer it. We always fished at Calumet right up tight to the State Line. Casting off the rock wall with 1oz Sonars produced fish. Never had much luck with spoons or Tadpollys.
