PETA Protests Fishing for the Bassmaster's Classic

Wednesday July 30, 2008
PETA does not want you to go fishing. They do not want your newspaper to run fishing columns. They do not want cities and towns to have names that sound bad. And they do not want people eating fish in resturants. They are simply amazing with the ways they want to control everyone.

2oo newspapers refused to remove their fishing column. How many kept that and removed the hunting column? How many fired their outdoorsman writer and kept his page for someone with no outdoor experience? For a good example, and a pathetic laugh go to nwitimes.com on a Thursday and check out our outdoor writer. This hack replaced a true outdoorsman who was fired for standing up to PETA in print.

Why is it sad when Please Eat The Animals (PETA) want to take away rights and their want and desire to control the poplation. But when Obama and the Anti gun groups want to control the law abiding population it is a great thing. HMMMMMMMM

These PETA people are way too stupid to engage in a civil debate. I wouldn’t mind if one could put these idiots on a hook and cast them in a lake as live bait.

By the way, the trout fishing in Mammoth is excellent this year!

IWhite - I hate it when newspapers drop outdoor columns or have someone write them that only know about bicycles and walking.

Fish feel pain ? the thought acured to me that with water tempeture’s just above freezing in the winter time someone should bust through that ice, an scoop those poor little fishies out an get them in a nice warm bucket of water so they don’t suffer in that cold water, an put sime nice warm veggies in the bucket for them to eat , acumbanatada. an never ever put your dog under the ice.

Here here DDMC! The only cure for stupid is death! Maybe all the PETA folks will starve to death now since their only source of food is being utilized to make biodiesel/ethanol!

(15) fishing says:

Sometimes the silly things the animal rights folks do make it almost too easy to make them look stupid - they do it to themselves. What amazes me is how anyone can listen to them and take them seriously.

(17) L White says:

Didn’t know anyone was still reading this. Can’t believe though that someone would think that you could go down to the nearest body of water and look at fish without catching one first. What scares me is the so called educated people who are behind much of this. Since my kids entered school my wife and I have fought with teachers, and yes even GS leaders over what should be taught to them. I’m glad they are grown, and out of the influence of these treacherous few. Hey fishing, hope you notice I did say few.

(18) fishing says:

Sometimes a few are way too many. And remember, things live forever on the net.

I agree schools and groups like the Girl Scouts can be a real problem - many mis-guided folks go into those professions to change the world, to what they like, just like so many go into journalism to be change agents, not reporters.

(19) L White says:

Maybe some of us just need a break from the constant assault on our lives and intelligence. Hopefully the younger ones of us that haven’t suffered the burnout, and sometimes what seems like hopelessness, to keep up the struggle. They are the answer to keeping things on track. Also they can give inspiration to those of us on the sidelines that all is far from being lost. LSome of us may even get back in the game.
