The days start getting longer after December 21 and Captain Mike Gerry says the bass respond to these longer days by moving and biting better. Even with just a few more minutes of light each day, bass respond. Do you agree? Share your thoughts in the comments section below

Every boater needs a tool set to keep in the boat and the Great Neck MS125 is a good choice. It comes in a floating yellow box and includes everything you are likely to need for repairs on the water. The tool set is fairly inexpensive so you can leave it in your boat. That way it won't be somewhere else when you need it. Althought the tools will not hold up to constant use they will work fine to get you out of trouble on the water.

Merry Christmas to all. I hope you have a happy holiday season and get to go fishing some. From ice fishing where you are having a white Christmas to looking for bass on the bed where it is sunny and warm, may all your fishing wishes come true. I wish for many things for Christmas and the list here would make me happy, but unfortunately most will not be possible.
